Valovaia Street

Street in the Central Administrative Okrug of Moscow

Located in the Garden Ring, Valovaia Street was created in the aftermath of Zemlianoi Val’s destruction. Similar to some other passages of the Zamoskvoretskaya arc of the Garden Ring, Moscow city planners decided against front gardens, which narrowed the pavement. In 1979, the street was widened by thirty meters by demolishing houses on the left side. The most notable building on Valovaia street is building No. 28, which belongs to the 1st Model Printing House.
