POMERANTSEV LANE

Street in the center of Moscow 

Pomerantsev Lane was one of few streets that’s named was never returned to its original, which was Troitsky Lane. Pomerantsev got its name from Alexey Alexandrovich Pomerantsev (1896-1979), a participant in the October battles of 1917 in Moscow, and a company commander of the 193rd reserve infantry regiment, who eventually retired as a prominent physicist and professor at Moscow State University.
