BELARUSSKAIA METRO STATION
On the Zamoskvoretskaia line
The Belarusskaia Station is located under Tverskaia Zastava Square between the Dynamo and Mayakovskaia stations and is in the Tverskoi District of the Central Administrative Okrug of Moscow. The Station was opened on September 11, 1938, in the Sverlova (Teatralnaya)- Sokol section. The name comes from the Belorusski railway station next door. During the Great Patriotic War, the station housed a central command post, and at night it housed a bomb shelter. According to a statistical study in 2002, the passenger flow of the station was: at the entrance – 50.5 thousand people, at the exit – 59.4 thousand people
