The Kursk Metro Station is located in the Basmanny District near Zemlianoi Val Street. The station was opened on March 13th, 1938, in the Kurskaya Section. It is a deep-level, three-vaulted pylon station with one island platform. In the plan for the reconstruction for Moscow, the location of the future Kurskaya metro station was decided, but was carried out using a closed method. The location of the station in the plan was determined by the requirements of the most rational service for passengers of the Kursky railway station and the further direction of the Pokrovsky radius route to Spartakovskaia Square.
