FRUNZE MILITARY ACADEMY
The Military Order of Lenin and the October Revolution, Red Banner, and Order of Suvorov M. V. Frunze Academy is a higher military institution which existed from 1918 to 1998. The aim of the academy was to prepare commanders and officers with higher military and higher military-special education. On November 1, 1998, based on the RF Government Resolution of August 29, 1998 the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was formed on the basis of the M. V. Frunze Military Academy, the Marshal of the Soviet Union R. Ya. Malinovsky Military Academy of Armored Troops.
