BERSENEV EMBANKMENT

Located on the Right Bank of the Moscow River 

Bersenev Embankment is in the Yakimanka District in the Central Administrative Okrug of Moscow. It sits between the spit of the island, and the Bolshoi Kammeny Bridge. The embankment was widened of 4 to 11 fathoms. In the 1930s, the embankment was faced with granite, the confluence of the Moscow River and the Voodtvodny Canal was designed by I.A. Frantsuz with gentle steps that smoothly envelop the cape of the island. In 2004, the first stage of the Patriarch’s Bridge opened.
